Tuesday August 14: The second day of the KEI-week!

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s already the second day of the KEI-week! Below you can find all the events of today.

11:30 – 13:00: KEI-picnic – Stadspark

The day starts with the KEI-picnic! While listening to some music in the background, you can enjoy a restful start to your day with a free picnic at the Stadspark. After that you can go straight to the next event: KEI to your Future!

13:00 – 16:00: KEI to your Future – Martiniplaza

Want to be prepared to get the most out of your time as a student? Do you want to combine your studies with work and other interests? Head to KEI to your future. This event aims to help you to be the best student you can be! Participate in workshops on studying effectively, applying for part-time work, being active in life beside your studies and much more. You can for example go to a lecture by Tim Hofman or visit the workshop entrepreneurship!

20:00 – 21:30: KEI-parade – Binnenstad

Are you curious about all of the different student associations that are present in Groningen? After an afternoon full of activities you can go to the city centre for the spectacular KEI-parade. The associations will present themselves with beautiful vehicles and great groups of people. This colorful parade will temporarily turn the city center upside down with all its splendor.

21:00 – 01:00: Night of the Songs –  Grote Markt

Tuesday night hosts one of the most entertaining events of the KEI week. Students and locals come together to sing their hearts out to their favorite tunes. Old classics, new hits, typical Groningen songs, you name it, it will be sung at the Night of the Songs. Don’t worry about knowing the lyrics, these will be available on screens around the podium. Make sure you don’t miss the biggest karaoke-event in Europe!

Don’t have a bike yet? Take the bus from the Oude Ebbingestraat (in front of the Albert Heijn supermarket) to the picnic, from KEI to your Future the busses will take you back to the Grote Markt.
