Frequently asked questions for KEI-lopers

Is there a possibility for accomodation if you do not have a room yet?

Through this website it is possible to get a place to sleep during the KEI-week. You can choose to apply for the Usva Sleep-In, for a place at the KEI-hostel or for a student house where you can stay during the week. It is also possible to go to Bud Gett Hostels and get a discount with the code: KEI-WEEK.

The costs differ a lot. You can choose between the Sleep-in at the Usva (€49) and the KEI-hostel (€93,-). For the student houses, there is a maximum price of €25 for the housing and an additional €5 for breakfast.

What does the KEI-week has to offer?

During the KEI-week you get to know all the different aspects of Groningen. The KEI-week provides general information about room rental and student grants. You can also get in touch with sports organizations, student societies and other sorts of associations. Besides all this, there will be a lot of parties and other entertaining activities such as the biggest sing-along event in Europe, the Movie on the Vismarkt and a lot of great workshops.

Can the KEI-week be seen as an initiation?

No, not at all! You should see the KEI-week primarily as something that is just fun to do. It is a week full of information, activities and parties. Signing up for the KEI-week does not mean you are obligated to go to the events. You are free to go wherever you want, and join the events you like.

Where can I find information about the KEI-week?

Most of the information is available on this website. Furthermore, updates and news is shared via Facebook,  TwitterSnapchat (KEI-week) and Instagram.

If you still have a question you can email it to info@keiweek.nl.

I’m allergic to certain foods, is it still possible to join the food-related events?

Of course we would still like you to join the food events. Just email evenementen@keiweek.nl with the specifics and we will make sure to arrange something for you!

I am arriving in Groningen on Wednesday, can I still participate?
