Study Associations

Every programme has its own study association, which arranges activities and study-related content for its members. You can join a committee of your study association to come into contact with more people from you programme, outside of the people in your class. A few examples of committees are the Travel Committee, the Activities Committee or the Study Committee.

Sports

The ACLO is the overarching student sports organisation of the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and for the 50 sports clubs of the ACLO. For the students of both institutions, the ACLO offer sports in many different ways.

There are over 50 different sports clubs connected to the ACLO. All of these sport clubs are exclusively for students and are partially financed by the ACLO. The ACLO provides insurance for materials, halls and supervision or training. For this reason everybody that wants to join a sports club that is connected to the ACLO has to buy an ACLO Card.

If you are interested in joining a sports club, the best thing to do is to come into contact with the sports club yourself. All sport clubs have their own websites with their contact information on it. You can find all the sport clubs on aclosports.nl.

The ACLO also has fitness and strength sports facilities. To have access to these facilities, you have to buy a Fitness Card, next to your ACLO Card.
