KEI-week

The KEI-week is the general introduction for all new students in Groningen. It is the perfect way to get to know the city and learn about all the possibilities for students in Groningen. With a total of nearly 4.500 KEI-participants, the KEI-week is the biggest introduction week of the Netherlands. In one week you will get familiar with everything that Groningen has to offer for students.

The KEI-week 2012 will take place from Monday the 13th to Friday to 17 of August. For this week, you will be placed in a KEI-group with about 12 to 15 other new students. With your KEI-group you can explore Groningen and participate in all the events during the KEI-week. The events range from information fairs to parties to a culture festival and comedy. The program of the KEI-week is very diverse and includes something for everyone.
The KEI-groups will be guided by 2 or 3 senior students. These KEI-leaders will show you around in Groningen and help you find your way. This way you will be able to find all the best bars, restaurants and pubs to your liking. You will also be introduced to all student and sport associations.

Because the most participants are Dutch. However, an increasing number of international students is participating in the KEI-week. Therefore we try to make the events as accessible for international students as possible. Some events are specificially suited for international students. Also on several events organisations for international students are taking part. This way it is possible for you to enjoy Groningen in a way that is fun and convenient for you.

The KEI-week is a great week, where you will get to know the student life in Groningen. It is the starting point for you in Groningen.

The KEI-week is simply indispensible because:
- You get in contact with other international students in Groningen
- You get to know important organizations of the University in Groningen
- You will be able to come in contact with student organizations and student organizations for international students
- You will find out about all the possibilities that Groningen has to offer in Groningen, ranging from sports to culture and much more
- You will find your way in Groningen in just a few days
